Ademola OLAJIRE, the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) spokeman has condemned a verbal attack on the coach of the 'Super Eagles' Berti VOGTS by Dominic IORFA, member ot the board. IORFA criticised VOGTS' appointment as coach of the national team and accused him of turning up late for training.
IORFA seems to be a Trojan horse of a group of nine other members of the board who had previously slated NFA chairman Sani LULU over his running of the NFA and the appointment of VOGTS. OLAJIRE told BBC Sport that a disciplinary action will be taken against IORFA, adding that "despite the differences within the NFA over VOGTS's appointment, the German should be treated with respect. Mr VOGT has a contract with Nigeria and should be accorded all the respect and support he needs to succeed."
He also announced that "the board will be meeting soon to discuss the situation concerning Berti VOGTS and the perceived discontent on the part of some members."
